Dakota Quin is a Naarm (Melbourne) based multidisciplinary artist.
Engaged and inspired by every expression of our bodies, Quin draws forward cheeky, analytic and challenging ideas about our cultural dispositions toward sexuality. Their practice confronts these concepts and the impact tey have on our experience of embodiment and our sense of selves. They speak for a movement of sexual liberation that is both anchored and emodied, intersectional and engaged with wider systems of compassion.
Quin’s practice is tethered to their cultural lineage and anchored in their studies of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Through experience and observation they expand our culturally modified narratives of the body, bringing both our form and our concept of form into discussion.
